Vergeet dat bekende terrein maar: 12...e6
De charme van de Wolga is dat je juist met zwart je stukken zo thematisch kunt ontwikkelen. Maar eerst ...Db6 en nu ...e6 geeft toch wel aan dat we niet met een kenner te maken hebben. In de vorige ronde speelde hij meen ik 1.e4 e6 2.f4 Om vervolgens wel fraai mat te zetten. Dat dan weer wel.

Probleem voor zwart is dat na ...Pd4 Te7 mogelijk wordt. Het schaakje op c6 kan Seth dan niet verontrusten.

Waarom niet 21.Kh3? Zwart moet dan eerst zijn loper dekken zodat wit een gratis zet heeft.
Nu kan ...Pf5 en g7 staat gedekt; Te7 staat in en Tc8 hoeft niet naar g8. Voorts staat wits paard gepend. Groot deel van het voordeel is nu weg. (Om niet helemaal voor beste stuurman uitgemaakt te worden ga ik maar eens eten).

Razend scherp allemaal! Tot hoever heeft Seth het uitgerekend? De dame hangt na ...Tf8 Wit moet iets hebben op de onderste rij om zo Txf7 te ontkrachten. Kan wit zijn toren op d8 krijgen of beter nog op e8. Dan staat f8 gepend. Td1 lijkt me de enige. Als zwart neemt dan Te8. Wat anders? ...Pd4 er tussen? Dan Txd4 en zwart moet met de pion nemen. De witte dame kan dan naar e7. Hoe staat dat?
